Glossybox Germany | October 2012

 Hey Glossybox Lovers <3

OMG its october, one of my favourite months because its halloween right around the corner.
And its also time for my monthly glossyboxpost.

This months box is under the theme Home Spa and I am pretty excited because I like to make my own spa days at home instead of spending too much money on an actual Spa weekend.
The glossybox team has really stept up their game I must say. This month they spoiled us with 5 full size products and I personally think they all are amazing.

A-Derma Sensiphase soothing cream 13,90/40ml
I really like the idea of this moisturizer because its supposed to calm skin tightness, discomfort and occasional redness. And because my skin is reacting very sensitively to the colder weather I am really looking forward to trying it.

Luxuroius Exfoliating Soap bar by beauty bird 9,00€ /75g
It says on the back that it has peachstone particles in it that will "delicately cleanse and silken your skin" while the coconutoil should take care and nourish it. It smells amazing.

Cowshed Moisturising hand cream 9,50€ /50ml
This handcream contains essential oils of grapefruit and coriander. It feels nice on the skin and my hands seemed softer. But oh dear the smell is really not my favourite, its rather strange I think. The tube is kind of cute and not too big for a handbag, so i will eventually use it because of the softness it gives.

Babor ultra shine lipgloss in the shade 13 19,50/50ml
I wanted a pink lip-product for ages but I was never sure if it would suit my skintone. Now I can.
This seems to be a rather expensice Lip-product for 19,95€. From the outside it seems like a very sparkly Colour but that doesnt transfer to the lips at all. As as nice addition the packaging looks really expensive and luxurious as well. Pretty pleased with this one.

Alessandro pro white Original
This clear polish should get rid of all unnatural discolouring on your nails and optically brightens them.

There were also two goodies in this box, a nail file and a face mask.

I cannot stress enough how psyched i am about the content in october and i am looking forward to trying out all these new products soon.

Loréal Lumi Magique concealer | Review

 Hey you lovelys <3<3<3

I've been running out of concealer recently and I thought to myself it would be nice to try something new.
The last one that I used was the concealer from the "fit me" range by Maybelline, in the lightest shade. Can't  say that I was very fond of it, it did the job but it never really seemed to match my skintone. So I went into my local drugstore and made a few swatches.

I ended up buying the Lumi magique one from Loréal and oh dear lord I love it. It says on the packaging that its also a highlighter and I really wanted to buy one of those as well so why not combine the two?!

It really takes good care about the darkness under my eyes and other imperfections on my face. I would say its a medium to full coverage concealer, and by the way I also took the lightest shade that was available .

The mechanism is kind of annoying at the beginning because you have to turn the end over 10 times till there's any fluid coming out. I started to think I had bought a broken one.

I really like the brush applicator that it comes with, some people would say its not hygenic but theres no harm in also washing this brush out isnt it?

I spent about 11€ for it, which I found, was quite expensive BUT worth the money.
When I run out I will definetly repurchase it and recommend it to a friend because I think it's a really great concealer that comes in a pretty shiny pink-ish packaging. Here are some pictures where I only have this concealer on. (I have liquid eyeliner and eyeshadow on of course, but no powder or foundation).

Hope this review was rather helpful or/and informative, cause I didnt want to have it too long. Please don't be shy and tell me what your favourite concealer is. I have an open mind and love to try out new stuff.

Things I loved in September 2012

Hey Lovlies,

Its finally autumn/fall!!!! Maybe it sounds silly but with the seasons it's like I get bored, the longer they last. Non the less with every time of the year I associate different things. I am a sucker for everything cozy and homey so I like this season mostly for the forest walks and lovely evenings with a good book and tea. Candles are an absolute must now.
So get your warm sheets and layering clothes ready for a fabulous fall.

Here are some things that made my september even more special and things I just enjoyed using.
| Junky knit sweaters (this one is from C&A for only 12€ in stores right now) or just my wolf T-shirt, from the elf fantasy fair I went to, with a hoodie and some leggings | my vanilla scented candle that has been burning nonstop (and is almost empty) | And of course I never left the house without my Maxstar platform sneakers <3 the 10 % off code (click) is still running.

Long pyjama bottoms from Primark they are a must in fall.

p2 eyeshadow palette, Prada Candy, Loréal BB cream for light skin, Loréal Lumi Magique concealer in 01

Looking forward to October when my favourite holiday is - its gonna get real spooky for ya'll WAHAHAA

Glossybox germany 2012 | September

Hey Lovelys;

Its oktoberfest time in germany and thats also the theme of this months box.
I am not exactly thrilled with  this hype but since there isn't much stuff thats only oktoberfest related its okay by me. The pakcaging and the paper was actually a cute idea.
And I am in fact very pleased with the the content.

kiko soft touch blush (Full size 5g)
A very suttle colour and since I have a ghost face .. haha... it gives just enough fresh looking glow to my cheeks.

kryolan contour pencil (Full size)
Kryolan is a masc builder brand from germany which specialised in theater make up.
The color is reddish brown and im not quite shure if i can get much use out of it. The color is pretty though, very fall-like.

O.P.I  nail varnish (half size)
Yay another opi nailvarnish in the this cute little size. The color is a very dark metallic blue, really looking forward to trying this in the f/w time.

Glossybox lipstick in glossyboxpink (Full Size)
It says on the card that the lipstick is from kryolan the same brand as the contour pencil.

C:EHKO crazy curls leave in conditioner (50ml)
This I was very excited about! I love to try anything that creates soft curls out of this frizzy mess I have on my head. So far it seems to work, maybe I will make a seperate review of the brand, because the oil that came in the last box was also from C:EHKO and I really liked that.

Max Star Platform Trainers | Review + Discount code

Heyy you Lovelys,

AHHHHHHHH...... I am literally jumping up and down in excitement because the postman just brought me a FedEx Package, if you aren't from Germany you don't know that that is pretty unusual. So I knew right then what would be inside. The Maxtar Platform Trainers!!!

My little story
Ever since I saw these on Stephanie from the Fashion Citizen (click to watch) and on sunbeamsjess (click to watch).
I knew I had to have them because they are THE coolest shoes ever. I know that sunbeamsjess was actually been contacted by maxtsar if she wanted to make a review about their platform trainers and so I went on their website and found out that they offer a really fair deal for blogger and youtubers. You can sent an application via email and write about, why you want to write or film about their shoes. In particular why you of all people should have the chance to get a pair of their awesome sneaks for free. I decided there was actually no harm in trying because the worst thing that could happen was a "no". So I carefully composed an e-mail and sent them my application and only one day later they contacted me! You find their offer here "application"

I am so thrilled, I know I haven't been in the blogger world for long but if you really want something there is a chance that you can achieve it! I will do my best to give you a good and proper review.

I will show you the shoes in detail, how I style them and i will also describe the quality.
So here we go <3

Here are some facts

The Maxstar company exists since 2008 and they are mostly known for their double platform sneakers.
Their base is located in South Korea.

Shoe: 7 Holes Zipper Platform Sneakers
Color: I got them in black (they sell these in a variety of colors and also in tie dye)
Heel: 5cm
Material: Canvas

I want to mention the little negative point right at the beginning because it doesn't really bother me.
Unfortunately the logo at the side looks pretty much like the converse one, only that it says Maxstar around the star. So if you are a complete converse lover this might be too much for you.
But I knew right up front these shoes might not be for everybody.

But what I like more about them is the zipper at the side. Sometimes its a pain in the butt to get these on and off, but in addition with the zipper, the laces stay where they are and don't get messed up as easily.
They are true to size but I think if you haven't have that narrow feet (mine are tiny) it can be a little bit difficult.
You can pretty much walk in them like flats with the bonus of giving you the extra height like heels. For me being a short person, this was definitely what sold them to me. They are ridiculously comfy.

Manufacturing
If you take a closer look at the shoe, you notice the good processing, and at the same time you can feel it.The insole and fabric on the inside of the shoe seems breathable so your feet have as much of fresh air as they need so they don't smell of sweat or anything.
Its all sewn together very neatly.
And as a bonus you also get one free pair of shoelaces for free

Shipping
The Shipping time is incredible it took them only 4 days to get to my house.
You find their shipping categories on their website as well.
At the end All I can add is, that I can even drive with these bad boys so I definitely give them a thumbs up.

grey thrifted Tshirt, H&M shorts and Blazer, Primark men's hoodie
Zara vest, H&M men's shirt, H&M leggings
H&M Jumper, jeggings, Blazer and Snood

I really love the edge that they give any outfit that I paired them with. So I created a little look book with a variety combinations. I hope you enjoyed my review and if it was somewhat helpful the better.

At the end I wanna give a huge thank you to the Maxstar Team for giving me this awesome opportunity.
So I encourage you, if you really want to, fill out their application and maybe you are as lucky as I am.

p.s. Please give me your feed back in the comments below, it would mean so much to me <3

AND I would really like you to have the chance to get a pair of these awesome sneakers and they were so kind to give me a 10 % discount code for you guys.
Coupon Name : SABINE
Expiration Date : Oct-18-2012
It only lasts one month so if you want some - be quick!^_^

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Nr 69 "Flirt" | Review

Hey Lovely Lipstick Lovers

This is my first Chanel lipstick, I got from my aunt for my birthday. It a very delicate color and it gives just enough shine to the lips. It doesn't transfer as bright to the lips as it looks in the packaging, its rather sheer I would say. I thinks its very versatile because it isnt so bright, more like a luxurious lipbalm in a peachy corally tone. It smells very much like rose oil, which is supposed to be a benefit for the skin.
It comes in the traditional Chanel packaging, looking so elegant and classic.
Sorry I had to try it before making pictures, I just couldnt help it.

Things I loved in August 2012

So August is nearly over and fall is already taken over my mind.
But I can't deny that there where a few things, that made this month a little more special. I decided to highlight a few things I enjoyed most. Partly they are birthday gifts and partly I purchased these things with my own money,  I worked very hard for.

The khaki vest from zara was previously featured in one of my other posts where I showed how i styled it. And I've been practically living in it because it goes with so many outfits.

I also wanted a denim shirt for quite a while and when I saw one in primark for only 13 € I had to get it.
its lightly acid washed which prevents it from looking too polished and I really like that.

The Longchamp "le Pliage" bag in navy blue was a birthday present from the best mum in the world.
Its so pretty and fits loads of stuff in it which is protected from rain because of the nylon material.

These shower gels with oils are so hydrating and they smell amazing. There are different brands that sell
these but Nivea also is available in different countries.

The necklace was a birthday present from my friends from uni. I know for a fact that its from H&M because
I saw it one day but I found it too expensive. When I came back to buy itr anyway it wasnt there anymore.
I love studs and spikes because they make an outfit really edgy.
And now that its really a trend its much more easy to find jewellery in stores.

I bought the Jeffrey Campbell Litas earlier this year as a reward for my first uni exam period but was to afraid to wear them because they were so expensive. I wore these with my birthday outft which was just a little black dress with a zipper in the front from H&M. I adore them. They are black suede with glittery butterflys on them.

The tea tree oil range from the Bodyshop really helped with my blemishes and irritations I had. A real life saver if you know what I mean.

The illegal lengh mascara from maybelline first came to my attention when my dear cousin recommended it and she was right ist amazing it defines every single lash and makes it even longer. I bought it in black.
The lipstick ist from Manhatten from the X-treme last and shine series in the shade 33N. I first discovered my love for orange lipsticks when I started watching Zoes chanel on youtube. You may know her by the name of Zoella. She also has a fabulous blog I will link both of them here.

Zoe's Blog

Zoe's Channel

Last but not least:
What you can also see on the first picture in a light blue can, is a dry shampoo from my local drugstore -  nothing special, it was actually very cheap. I just wanted to try it out and it really helped me because I wanted to start washing my hair every third day. This dry shampoo is from "balea" the house brand from dm. Maybe i will purchase one from batiste next month.

Heat wave | What to wear when you're melting

 Hey you sunny- heads,

OMG its so hot outside. I started to think the summer would never come and now that its finally here ... I just want it to go away ... no seriously ... some degrees less would be really nice. Its 30°C and even inside the house its nearly 25°C.

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share my favourite clothes when its meltin hot outside and you still just have to leave the house to run errants for example. Work and school is just another subject, because of the dress codes some of them have but I think you can always put something over your outfit a light scarf or shirt, to make it more appropriate. Please keep in mind that this is kind of a summer holiday thing.

I take the chance to add my favourite jewellery pieces of the moment.

glossybox germany | August 2012

Hey there glossybox Lovers,

Wow its already august which means its my birthday soon , yay <3
The August Glossy box came kind of early this time and I thought I'd share my first thoughts about it with you.

Catrice Glamour Doll volume Mascara  (Full size 3,99/10 ml)
This design reminds me of the Lancome Doll eyes mascara and it seems to be a dupe for it.
It promises to maximise the length and volume of your lashes. The brush seems to differ from the Lancome one but I think the effect is "okay" so far. For those of you who aren't from germany Catrice is a brand thats sold at one of the biggest drugstores called "dm".

Figs & Rouge Balm ( 3,95/ 8ml Full Size)
100% natural it says on the tin it comes in , which leads me to the package design its: absolutely adorable don't you think? You can use the balm for your skin or your lips. I'm sorry the texture doesnt look so nice but the heat wave thats going over germany seems to have had its effect on it.

Kenzo Madly kenzo ( 65,50/50ml) tester
This is interesting because you can't already buy this fragrance in stores yet. I like the smell its very flowery and summery.

Lancaster after sun tan maximiser ( original product 31,00/125ml) testerI cant wait to try this out, its a shame that its only a 15 ml tube. I dont know if this lasts for a proper try out but still I'll give it a shot.

O.P.I Nail varnish
I've heard so much about these on youtube and I can see why tey're so hyped. I love the dark greyish colour. Its applying very easily and drys really quick, thats what I noticed so far at least.
Its comes in a cute size so you can carry it around in your purse or holiday make up bags etc.

right eye with mascara

I really hope you liked my Glossybox posts so far - looking forward to trying these products and to the next box.

Current Obsession | my army vest

Hey my lovelys,

At first let me say sorry for my long absence, lately I been kinda busy with uni exams and didnt have the time to write much but theres a whole month of free time ahead and tons and tons of ideas.

So last week I went shopping with my little brother because he likes me to be around when he picks clothes. And Omg I cannot tell you how happy I am!!! Literally I wanted a vest like this for so long and I eyed it on the Zara website for quite a while. And when I  saw it in store there was no going back, I had to get it imediately. This vest is so versitile and so edgy it brightens up nearly every outfit with a sort of punky grungy vibe to it. But it also looks so nice with kind of softer fabric f.e. a very feminine dress to make it less girly.

I put together a little lookbook to show How I style this different ways. I hope you like it.

playsuit: H&M

Jeggings: H&M ; Band Tee: Primark mens section

There are so many ways I can style it and I wear it nearly everyday now. I hope you enjoyed my styling ideas on the sort of army trend thats going on at the moment and feel free to show me how you would style an army style clothing item.
